Updated: Sep 27, 2018

Maureen Hurley, Board President and volunteer director of the International Visitors Program, received Global Ties' 2016 Excellence in Programming Award for Outstanding Community-Based Organization Programmer. Congratulations, Maureen, on this well-deserved recognition of your amazing work!

What is the Global Ties Excellence in Programming Award?

The International Visitor Leadership Program would not be as powerful and impactful without the efforts and commitment of dedicated individuals who make up the Global Ties Network.

In support of continued programming excellence, Global Ties U.S. annually honors and recognizes exemplary members of our Network with the Excellence in Programming Awards at the National Meeting

The nomination process begins each fall for members of the Global Ties Network to nominate individuals they believe should be considered for awards under one of the following categories:

  • Outstanding All-Volunteer Community-Based Member Programmer

  • Outstanding Paid-Staff Community-Based Member Programmer

  • Outstanding National Program Agency Programmer

  • Outstanding Interpreter

  • Outstanding International Visitor Liaison

Once nominations are in, members may then vote for the top three in each category. Finalists are announced at the Global Ties U.S. National Meeting.
