About The Event

Nobel Peace Prize-winning activist Nadia Murad survived genocide to become a global voice for victims everywhere. Join the World Affairs Council of Maine and the Maine Peace Corps Association as we honor International Women's Day through Nadia's story. Film screening of On Her Shoulders, a documentary from Sundance Film Festival best director winner, Alexandria Bombach, to be followed by a community discussion led by founder of Survivor Speak USA, Dee Clarke.

7:00pm: Discussion
