Committee Volunteers
Individuals are welcome to support WAC on the various committees. Depending on the skills and experiences of the individual, one committee may be better suited for the individual than another so please highlight your background and interests.

Many special skills are needed to assist us in the operation of our functions, programs and events and might include experience in the areas Programming, Education, Organization, Corporate, Development, Fundraising, Non-profit, Government, and or Marketing.

The roles and responsibilities of Committee Members:
Generally, committees meet once a month. We require committee members to be involved and support WAC. This involves contributing their time to attend scheduled meetings and be active participants.

Office volunteers are needed to help with the administrative duties involving the day-to-day office tasks such as helping to maintain the database, routine mailings, data entry, and typing.

Event Support

You may also be interested in photographing or working at the registration table at various Community Program events. Volunteers help with a wide variety of tasks including the preparation, setup, and perform miscellaneous duties for all the WAC events.

Internships

Academic internships may be available thru your academic institution. There are occasional opportunities for informal student internships that offer work experience and networking with speakers, directors and members. Interns make an invaluable contribution to the functioning of the Council.
