This year’s International and Multicultural Student reception is scheduled for November 21, 2008. In its 19th year, this reception brings together students, educators, and host families in a celebration of the international and multicultural student experience. The event is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Woodbury Campus Center on the USM Portland campus.

| This year’s reception will feature the voices of the students themselves. Students from the University of Southern Maine, University of New England, Southern Maine Community College and St. Joseph’s College of Maine have been invited to share their story with the attendees. Every journey is unique. This year’s reception will allow the people gathered to hear the student’s story in their own words.
This event is free and open to all Council members. We also encourage all international and multicultural students in Maine and their host families to attend the reception. If you know of a student or a host family, please let them know about our reception and encourage them to attend. Better yet, let us know who they are by calling our office at 780-4551 and sharing their name with us.
